Academic matters
Our curriculum has two main components:
a general, formative academic program and a vocational (skills) training program – teaching time being divided 50:50 between these two components. The academic curriculum follows the guidelines of the National Curriculum Statement (NCS) and CAPS, although in an adapted form. The following learning areas are compulsory:

A Khanya computer laboratory forms part of the academic component of the school and focuses on basic literacy and numeracy, computer competency and the integration of the computer technology and the academic and vocational curricula. Individual learners with serious reading barriers are assisted on a one-on-one basis with the aid of a specially developed reading development program.
